Andrew Llyod Weber is AMAZING!

First of all-I got a kick out of watching him on the show with his quirkiness.  You can always tell a true genius by his/her quirkiness.

Second of all- I LOVE musicals!

Third of all- I LOVE LOVE musicals!

Okay...onto the reviews:

1. Syesha- where have you been girl?  Talk about personality, and WOW!  I would SO see her in a Broadway show...and can I borrow her body and that dress for one day....PLEASE!!!!  As my husband said, "Well, she's certainly not ugly." :)

2.  Jason C- After they announced that he was going to sing "Memory" and went to commercial I said to Bill, "Oh no!  This kid knows NOTHING about musicals and he picked Memory because it's so famous and of course it's like the only song he'll know and it's just going to stink."  Ugh!  Simon got it right- the longest 2 minutes!

3.  Brooke- you're sweet but you need to go home.  Your run is over.  And I agree with Paula- you don't start and stop...not twice in one season and try to get away with it.  I know she truly is a genuine person and I feel mean for saying this, but I'm done with the syrupy sweetness where everything is moving and touching and meaningful.  I don't doubt she truly feels that way- I'm just over it.  Am I mean for saying that?

4. David A- I guess I am eating my words from last week- that was truly amazing.  Loved the version, loved the voice and the singing, still don't want you to win but-well done.

5.  Carly- Thank you Sir Weber for making her change her song.  What was with all the ballads huh?  I LOVED Carly tonight- she was great, she was happy, she was smiling...and she cracked me up with that darn t-shirt!  Can I buy that?  You know it's going to be made into a real one within a week.

6.  David Cook- I LOVED how he didn't try to change it and just showed another side to him.  When he spoke in the beginning about how he grew up doing musical theater I was like, "Oh my goodness, just when I thought I couldn't like you and appreciate you more you say something like that!"  He is so talented to do what he normally does week after week and then to stick to the original and just show off his vocals.....WOW.  Can I preorder his album now?

So...David Cook "will always be my baby"...but nice job Carly, DAvid A and Syesha!  Can every week be Andrew Llyod Weber week?

:)

April 15th-Mariah Carey night-

I've been a slacker lately so I'll try to make up for it tonight.

1- David A- I don't care what you sing and how you sing it-I will never like you.

2-Carly- I liked her version of it and felt like she didn't over sing it for once but I agree with the judges.  She's holding back somehow.

3- Syesha-I thought it was her best.  First time I didn't compare her to anyone (good song choice) but still she just doesn't do it for me.

4- Brooke-I think she needs to go home.  She's cute and charming but it's the same old each time.

5- Kristy Lee-I'd like her to go home too but she wasn't that bad.

6-David Cook- my man.....WOW WOW WOW!  I completely agree with Paula-that could SO be a movie soundtrack.  Looks like I'm buying another one from itunes from him!  Truly a talented person with such an ear for music.

7 Jason C- I like his vibe.  should he win.  nah.  Is he good-yeah.  Is he sounding more confident-yes and it shows!

David Cook ROCKS!!!! :)

Inspiration Night

Here's my rundown:

1. Michael Johns: I thought he was better than the judges said he was. Man, was Randy cranky.
2. Syesha: She can sing, but honestly, what does she bring that is unique or even interesting??? If she can't make anything sound different, she'll always be compared to the original artist. Heard she had a major attitude to the staff at the hotel they are staying at too.
3. Jason Castro: I liked this a lot. He sounded good, but he's got to stop making those weird faces when he sings!
4. Carly: I agreed with the judges, she made the song sound angry. But she sang it well.
5. David Cook: EEK. What the heck was that? I like him, but that was hard to listen to. And he seemed to know it too.
6. Kristi Lee Cook. Sigh. She sang it ok, but I still want her to go home.
7. David Archuleta: Still sounds lovely and amazing, but not sure I'd buy his album. It would take some really great songwriting, b/c the stuff he's been choosing to sing is just "eh."
8. Brooke: Not sure why she went last, but it was good/ok/nothing new.

Agree with you, Bill, Dolly doesn't have it anymore...and she's kinda scary in HD. Yikes!

Dolly Parton Night

Dolly Parton night...and I liked most of the songs! Who knew?I was impressed with almost all tonight! I thought that overall they all did very well and made for a good Top 9.

Ramiele, Syesha, and Kristi Lee Cook may be in the B3. Why do people continue to do Whitney?? When will they learn??? Syesha wasn't awful at all, but everyone is going to compare that last "money" note to Whitney's. Didn't care for her "Love you Simon" mocking at the end either. Not cool. KLC...was ok. But it was boring. And you can tell the lack of strength in her voice b/c she wasn't so good sitting down at the beginning. Ramiele, I like her personality but she's not bringing it at all. She may have run out of chances.

I enjoyed Brooke's "Jolene"; not a fan of the song David Archuleta sang but it was sung beautifully; Michael Johns was really good; Carly has her straight hair back! Pretty!; Jason Castro got better toward the end and I enjoyed it but I'm partial, too; David Cook was good, too. Didn't know he had that range...it was nice to hear.
