Okay so we all know that I want David Cook to win and I just can't stand David A. Unfortunately, I think that David A had the better night last night and David Cook just had a good night. I LOVED David Cook's first song and I have a lot of respect for him choosing a new song for his last song...I feel like he's treating himself more like an artist at this point and not so much about the competition. I have to give him credit for that.
So I voted last night for David Cook and it didn't take me very long to get through 3-4 times to vote for him so.....although I REALLY want him to win and think he deserves to win I have a feeling that David A won....whatever...I'll still be buying David C's album as soon as it comes out.

Yeah...David A. was better last night, dang it. I also voted for David C. I got through a few times, but I was still getting a busy signal at 11:30 pm, so that's good, too. But I think all the obsessed tweens were probably dialing their fingerprints off.
General comments on the songs:
Round 1: David C's song was much harder to sing than David A's. Don't let the sun go down on me has been redone a million times, the U2 song--not at all, and there's a reason why.
Round 2: They need to get rid of the song writing contest. The songs suck, and they are always super cheesy and favor a certain type of singer. They are the rocker's curse, and a rocker will never win if they continue to have this lame song writing gimmick.
Round 3: It should be either a repeat performance or not allowed. Having the option is not good. I like that David C. did something different, although I'd prefer him to have rocked the heck out of something.
I will buy David C's album the day it comes out. I won't be upset if he doesn't win, b/c I don't think he'd be upset either. Besides, poor David A's Dad will probably disown him if he doesn't win.
