Tues-March 25th

Must admit..catching up on sleep after having my whole family over from F-M morning.  I only caught the Aussie before I went to sleep and I was impressed.  Anyone else wish to comment?  I'm needing the update today! :)

You two crack me up. Here's the rundown from my perspective of the T10. The theme was songs from the year you were born, which made me feel really, really old. Sigh.

1. Ramiele: Sang "Alone" by Heart. She wasn't good. She screamed alot. Apparently she was sick..had no voice for the last few stays.

2. Jason Castro: Sang "Fragile" by Sting. He brought out the chair and guitar again, but the vocal was just "eh."

3. Syesha: Sang a ballad song called "If I Were Your Woman" which I never heard of. Technically, a good vocal. Boring as all heck tho.

4. Chikezie: Also sang a ballad..even tho the judges said not to, he went with his gut. He was boring, too.

5. Brooke: Sang "Every breath you take" started out good, she did just her and the piano, like her version of "Let It Be" and then the second verse the band kicked in. It was good, but the band coming in was weird and it really didn't fit what the song was about.

6. Aussie: You saw. I thought he was good, too...finally!

7. Carly: Sings "Total Eclipse of the Heart." I thought she'd rock this one, but she looked distracted and tense. When Ryan asked her afterwards if she was nervous, she mumbled something about just having gone to the bathroom??? On the results show it turns out she was distracted b/c she had on spanks and they were too tight. ?

8. David Archuleta: Sang some song called "You're the Voice" which I never heard of. Vocally, very good. But I agree with Simon it (his words) "Sounded very theme park surrounded by animated creatures." Simon also said that there's no way that David picked out that awful song. (Which is a jab at his controlling father?) I felt bad, I voted for him. BTW, he was born in 1990. Sigh..I'm OLD.

9. KLC: Sang "Proud to be an American." Ugh. I HATED this. I guess she sang "ok" but it was lame. And as Simon said, a very smart song choice that will keep her in the competition. She bores me to tears.

10. David Cook: Sang "Billie Jean" with a twist...ricking it his way. This was awesome. At first I thought it was a little weird, b/c hello...we've all grown up to the Michael Jackson version...and this was way different. He held this one note though for so long, and then went an octave higher! It was impressive. He really can sing.

Hope this helps! Poor Chickezie...shouldn't have been him. KLC wasn't even in the B3! Ugh.

I really liked her song...wasn't perfect, but good.
